MOROCCO - COMMITMENT TO RAISE AWARENESS 

GOAL: Contribute to the revelation and development of the expression of artistic talent and the spirit of initiative among young people and their involvement in promoting the values ​​of respect and tolerance and a culture of welcoming disability as diversity

BENEFICIARIES: 

• Young high school students, students of vocational training institutions, students of universities and higher education institutions as well as groups of young people supported or supported by associations carrying out cultural activities or for the inclusion of young people with disabilities:
  600 young people will participate in training and accompaniment activities divided into 6 groups of 25
  800 young people will participate in the dissemination activities of the films produced within the project.
• 40 actors from 20 associations and institutions active in the field of youth, culture and the promotion of the rights of people with disabilities,
• 1,000 participants in the Handifilm festival and other events organized by the associations and institutions involved in the project

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

Training to support young people

• Creation of training courses and development of personal skills for young people
• Implementation of training courses on communication, negotiation, conflict management, decision making, facilitation techniques
• Creation of focus groups on disability and the challenges of participation of people with disabilities
• Creation of theoretical training courses on script writing
• Realization of practical training courses on the scenario
• Creation of theoretical and practical training courses on the stages of film production
• Realization of training courses in audio description techniques for the blind and visually impaired and subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
• Film production and distribution
• Support for young people in the production of short films accessible to all and promotion of a culture of welcoming diversity and in particular disability
• Organization of moments for the screening of films produced by young people
• Movie caravan
• Programming of the films produced by the project for the junior international special competition for short films.

Advocacy awareness activities

• Creation of a think tank to reflect on the interest of artistic awakening as a lever for personal development and empowerment
• Presentation of the project at various film festivals and audiovisual events
• Organization of round tables on "the interest of artistic awakening as a lever for personal development and empowerment"
• Launch of 4 initiatives to promote the artistic and cultural involvement of young people
• Production of a documentary film on the best practices developed by Handifilm in terms of youth creativity and cultural promotion
• Closing seminar of the project

Training and technical assistance to the Handifilm Association

• Creation of a web platform for the visibility of the Handiflm festival to publish youth film productions online
• Support and professionalization of the Handifilm festival and in particular of its special junior international competition for short films
• Adapt the Handifilm association to administrative and tax regulations
• Strengthening of Handiflm's audiovisual equipment
